I’m going to talk about some truths today. Now I know that the things that I’m going to talk about here are not normally things that people share about their businesses but I feel that it’s important.
What I want to share with you is about a marketing plan that I decided to do, how I put it together, the results, and why I got the results that I did get. So let’s get into it shall we…
A few weeks back I decided to put together something that I thought would do 2 things:
1) Help more people take action with starting their business.
2) Generate extra revenue for my business.
If you haven’t realized this by now the entire reason for my business is to get other peoples businesses streamlined and running nice and smooth but the challenge happens because a lot of people aren’t willing to take the action to either start their business or implement new strategies that can really change their business for the better.
So what was this marketing plan that I put together was intended to get people to take that action that they needed to take to move their business forward. It was simply this…
I took my course “The Secrets To The Online Business Puzzle Road Map” and I put together a video that would explain the basics of what the course shows people. Then I decided to give people a big break and I dropped the price by over 30% for a limited window.
Now doing a sale is not something that is all that new but it is in the online business world. Seeing someone take a product or a service that they already have out on the market and put it on sale is not something that I’ve actually ever seen online but it we do see it in the traditional brick and mortar business world.
I’m sure that you’ve gone to a grocery store or a some other type of store and seen things on sale. Lots of places have weekly sales that are in some sort of a flyer. I know people go through flyers like this and find things that they want and go out and buy it. Now why do they do it when it’s in a flyer? It’s because people like to save money. And why do the businesses do it? Because products sell faster when it’s on sale so they earn more revenue.
Like I said, I decided to test this out for myself and see what happens. Will people act on the chance to improve their business without having to pay as much? I thought that they would since I get emails all the time saying that they would love to get the course or they need the help but they don’t have the $97 that the course costs.
So what happened?
To be honest, I made a really big mistake that I didn’t realize till after I put it all together and launched it. The mistake that I made was that I never fully explained what I was doing to everyone. I kind of left it like it was a secret and they would have to wait to get all of the details.
And you know what, people didn’t wait around and truthfully, I don’t blame them. I wouldn’t have waited around either.
So what’s the moral of this little story? Be upfront with your prospects. If you have something that you feel will benefit them then tell them. If you don’t tell them then they’ll never really know how you can assist them in their life.
